About Me

Hi, I’m Michael Gearon currently at Companies House part of the UK Government in Cardiff as a Senior Interaction Designer. The main areas I specialise in are UX, UI design, CRO, website performance and front end development. As well as my day-to-day job I’m a speaker, writer and ad hoc freelancer for small businesses around Cwmbran, Newport and Cardiff as a website designer.

Education

Website design is where I specialise, with a strong knowledge in UX, UI and performance as well HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (and frameworks) and content management systems (CMS). As well as the technical aspects, I have a keen eye for designing functional, visually impacting websites and digital media.

Graduated in BSc Media Technology at the University of South Wales, Cardiff. I have a broad range of knowledge in media such as sound technology, video production, graphic design, and motion graphics. Previously studied Interactive Media Design at Coleg Gwent Crosskeys studying digital media, graphic design, photography and traditional art.
